Scenarios

Candidate Hire to Employee Onboarding

Greenhouse Candidate Hired → Zapier → HR Record → BambooHR / Workday → Manager Notification → IT & Administration Tasks → Orientation Schedule → Completion Tracking

Participants automate the administrative handoff from recruitment to onboarding while keeping candidate selection, employment terms, and other hiring decisions with authorised HR and business stakeholders.

Employee HR Request to Controlled Resolution

Zapier Form → Request Validation → Category / Priority Routing → HR or Manager Approval → HRIS Update → Employee Notification → Status Tracking

Participants create an employee-service workflow that reduces manual coordination while preserving human review for policy interpretation, exceptions, and consequential employee decisions.

## Current Capability Reference

Zapier currently maintains dedicated HR integrations for platforms including **BambooHR, Workday, Greenhouse, and BrightHire**. Greenhouse workflows can trigger when new applications are submitted or candidates are hired, while BambooHR can trigger workflows around events such as employees starting or requesting time off.

Zapier's current **BambooHR–Workday** integration supports HR workflow actions such as responding to employee and time-off events, creating pre-hires, and initiating employee-related processes across the two platforms.

**Zapier Forms** can collect employee or HR-service information and immediately trigger workflows, while **Paths** can route records to different downstream actions based on defined business rules.

For controlled HR workflows, **Human in the Loop** can pause a Zap for a person to review information, provide additional data, or approve the next step before processing continues. This is particularly relevant where automation supports an HR process but should not independently make consequential people decisions.
