## Current Capability Reference
As of September 2026, **Midjourney V8.2** is the default model. It was released on July 24, 2026 and introduced improvements in aesthetics, image quality, and Personalization along with the new Edit Model.
The **V8.2 Edit Model** can modify existing images from written instructions, generate new images using up to four reference images, and support targeted editing and canvas expansion. It replaces the earlier Omni Reference, Character Reference, and Retexture workflows for V8.x.
Midjourney also currently supports **Style References, Moodboards, Personalization, Image Prompts, and the Editor**, providing useful controls for building and refining consistent product-concept directions.
