Scenarios

Inbound Lead to Qualified Sales Handoff

Inbound Lead → Copilot Studio Agent → Requirement Collection → Lead Validation → Qualification Rules → CRM Record → Sales Assignment → Follow-Up Task → Status Tracking

Participants build an agent-assisted lead workflow that collects and structures prospect information, applies defined qualification logic, updates the approved sales system, and routes the opportunity to the appropriate sales professional.

Sales Meeting to Structured Opportunity Follow-Through

Customer Meeting / Requirement → Agent → Approved Product & Account Knowledge → Action Summary → Agent Flow → Follow-Up Tasks → Human Review → CRM Update → Opportunity Monitoring

Participants design a sales follow-through workflow that converts validated meeting information into structured next actions while keeping customer communication, commitments, pricing, and commercial judgement under authorised human control.

## Current Capability Reference

Microsoft Copilot Studio's current **generative orchestration** can interpret user intent and dynamically choose relevant knowledge, tools, and actions. Microsoft recommends deterministic or human-controlled checkpoints where activities must happen exactly as defined or carry material business risk.

Current **Power Platform connectors** can be added as agent tools to interact with external applications and services. They support real-time API operations, including reading or writing information, while Copilot connectors are designed for broadly searchable, semantically indexed enterprise knowledge.

Current real-time knowledge connectors include supported enterprise sources such as **Salesforce, Dynamics 365, Dataverse, SAP, Snowflake, and other business systems**. Runtime access uses the connected user's identity and preserves source-system access controls. Some real-time knowledge functionality remains in preview and should be validated before production implementation.

Microsoft currently provides **Human-in-the-Loop** capabilities for workflows and agents, enabling processes to request human input or approval before continuing—important for pricing, commercial commitments, exceptional terms, or other sensitive sales actions.

Copilot Studio's current **Agent Evaluation** provides structured, repeatable testing using reusable test sets, while monitoring provides visibility into conversation activity, tool usage, knowledge usage, errors, engagement, and response-quality indicators after deployment.
