## Current Capability Reference

Microsoft Copilot Studio currently supports enterprise **knowledge grounding** from sources including SharePoint, uploaded files, websites, Dataverse, Azure AI Search, and connected enterprise systems. These sources can be used to provide employees with responses grounded in approved HR information rather than relying only on the model's general knowledge.

Microsoft also provides an **Employee Self-Service agent** pattern that can be customised through Copilot Studio and grounded in SharePoint HR information, demonstrating how employee-facing service agents can use authorised organisational content.

Current **generative orchestration** can interpret employee intent, select relevant knowledge and tools, and create multistep plans. Microsoft's guidance recommends deterministic or human-controlled checkpoints where actions are sensitive or must follow exact business rules.

Current **Agent Flows** support AI actions, branching, loops, connectors, and human-in-the-loop steps for approvals or additional information. Copilot Studio also provides enterprise governance controls including data-loss-prevention policies, publishing restrictions, Power Platform data policies, Customer Lockbox, and Microsoft Entra-related controls.
